A frantic Sam discovers Jonah is missing and follows him to New York. Jonah is unfazed, however, and with the help of his playmate whose mother is a travel agent, books a flight to NYC to find Annie. Sam finds out and has a talk with Jonah and thinks the matter is ended. Impersonating Sam, he writes Annie and suggests they meet atop the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile, Jonah has read Annie’s letter, and he’s convinced she’s the one for Sam. Although she and Sam catch revealing glimpses of one another they do not meet, and Annie returns home. On the pretense of writing a story, she tracks down Sam’s address and goes to Seattle. Even though she’s engaged to Walter, she sends Sam a letter. East Coast reporter Annie Reed is also touched and believes Sam may be her soul mate.

Single women across America hear Sam’s poignant story and write to him wanting to meet. Sam gets on the phone and tells the psychologist that although it’s been tough, he and Jonah are doing OK. Lonely Sam is ready to start dating again, but still missing his mother, an upset Jonah calls a psychologist on a national radio talk show. Sleepless in Seattle himself, otherwise known as Sam Baldwin, before he landed his acclaimed role as Forrest Gump in 1994.

There is an Alfred Hitchcock movie prop from the film Vertigo hanging from the large wooden beam in our showroom, the remains of a cool old hoist system that used railroad ties to glide back and forth on near our ceiling, and if you’re lucky our resident pug Pizza may be there to greet you. This building has gone through a preservation that has kept it in great shape, but also allowed it to retain all of the character it has developed from over the decades. Our building is over 100 years old and has brick walls that extend 40 feet high. We refurbish to this extent because of a genuine love of the craft.
